( ENSPIRE Entertainment ) Is Angie Martinez Getting a Daytime Talk Show?

Radio personality and rapper Angie Martinez has the media buzzing about her own television talk show. Apparently, executives from Debmar-Mercury had a meeting with Wendy Williams to tell her because they do business with together. The meeting did not end too well according to sources and that is how word got out.
Angie is no stranger progressing in the media world from established and well-known FM radio DJ, rapper, author, a correspondent for Extra TV to being managed by ROC Nation. Martinez started her radio career at age 16, interning for Hot 97 in the early 90’s. Throughout the 90’s, Martinez built a solid foundation in her radio career which later transformed her into a radio trailblazer and gained the nickname “The Voice of New York.” During her career, she not only dominated mainstream radio airwaves but she also launched her music career in the late 1990’s. She featured in her first song with KRS-One called “Heartbeat” in 1997 from his album “I Got Next.” After her collaboration with KRS-One, she began to gain a stronger following and recognition from fans and other Hip Hop artists such as Left Eye, Mary J Blige, N.O.R.E., Beenie Man, and Jay Z. In the early 2000’s Martinez branched out of her music career and started acting in several different movies such as “Paper Soldiers”, “State Property 2” and “Video Girl.”
After more than a decade with Hot 97, she resigned from her stomping ground and joined Power 105.1 radio station in 2014. On June 20th, 2017 she signed a deal with Jay-Z’s streaming network Tidal where she will be hosting her own podcast “The Voice of New York.”
Angie Martinez has achieved many accomplishments since the start of her career and is the epitome of the word trailblazer. With an addition of her daytime television show, it will not only add on to her achievements but it will also show where true hustle can get you.
