Rock The Schools Concert Supporting VH1 Save the Music Foundation A Big Hit

The 4th Annual Rock for the Schools Concert to support the VH1’s Foundation for Saving the Music was held on December 17 at the fabulous Gramercy Theatre in New York City. As always, the show was put on to support music education by keeping music programs available to children in America’s public schools. The cause also focuses on raising the awareness of the need to keep instrumental music programs available as part of a well-rounded and complete educational curriculum for all children. Official event sponsors and partners were Live Nation, OK! TV, Vita Coco, Honest Tea, Baked by Melissa and Bohemian Guitars.

The highly anticipated concert was very well attended and the crowd was rocked by an all-star lineup co-headlined by Kate Voegele and Secondhand Serenade. Lee DeWyze, Michael Lombardi (star of FX hit series “Rescue Me”; co-starring in upcoming film “The Last Knights” alongside Morgan Freeman and Clive Owen) and Alexis Keegan put on outstanding performances. A special guest appearance was made by Rosi Golan. The event was hosted by National Radio Personality Trey Morgan and OK! TV’s Julie Alexandria. Before the night was even close to finished it was clear there was enough support from the public to ensure a 5th Annual concert would be justified. This year’s event was viewed as a tremendous success and is a perfect example of how the Publicity and Event Production company, Promenade Music Entertainment continues their support and to give back to the kids by producing this annual event created by PME’s President, Alaina Bendi and supports the VH1 Save The Music Foundation, which has long been thought of as a partner and mentor for various worthy causes with ties to the music industry. The Rock for the Schools Concert series may be the worthiest of causes and nothing was overlooked to ensure the event went off without a hitch. 20141217_220512 Nearly 10 press photogs including WireImage and Getty came out to shoot red carpet photos of the artist lineup at the packed pre-show VIP party held at the venue where fans got to mingle with the whole lineup, enjoyed champagne and product provided by our sponsors Vita Coco, Honest Tea and Baked by Melissa. The Rock the Schools Concert has become a brand in the entertainment industry and is notorious for special guests, surprise performances and a large lineup of some of music’s most popular names and overwhelming talent. “One Tree Hill” fans who were already excited to see Kate Voegele perform had the chance to see former cast member and front man of Wakey!Wakey, Michael Grubbs. He performed a surprise duet with Rosi Golan. The crowd went wild when Secondhand Serenade brought famous singer/songwriter Veronica Ballestrini on stage to surprise fans with a duet. Rock the Schools Founder/Producer Alaina Bendi even joined the couple on stage to perform a song. Fans also engaged in a bidding war for a silent auction to win a unique, custom built guitar signed by the entire artist lineup provided by Bohemian Guitars. “I’m so overwhelmed by the success and outpour of incredible feedback by fans approaching me throughout the night congratulating me on an amazing show. We’re already planning an explosive 5th year anniversary show!” said Alaina Bendi, Creator and Founder of Rock the Schools Concert. Past performers have included: Ryan Cabrera, Tyler Hilton, Bryan Greenberg, Bethany Joy Lenz, Teddy Geiger, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Matthew Perryman Jones, Wakey!
