( ENSPIRE Community Spotlight ) Call Me Ace Donates Funds and Shares How the Global Pandemic & Racial Injustice Affect the Black Experience In Working From Home: Extended

Back in April, ENSPIRE featured Billboard-charting and independent artist, Call Me Ace, as he worked to complete and release his new EP titled Working From Home. In this previous article, Call Me Ace had just announced the release of his next single off the EP called “Red Eye” which he explained symbolized his dedication to fulfilling his purpose and his refusal to give up on his dreams.
Call Me Ace just recently released his 5-track EP, Working From Home: Extended, which was written by him, produced by J-Dot Music, and is now available on all streaming platforms. Working From Home: Extended covers topics from leading a double life in music and corporate America, the global pandemic that we are living through, and the unfair system that disproportionately affects Black communities.
Ace is outspoken about his support for the Black Lives Matter movement and the protests that we have been seeing for the past month or so. He openly states that he has experienced racial discrimination and that seeing where the world is right now has made him feel exhausted, repressed, and hopeless. He wrote his new EP saying “I feel the responsibility and the calling to use the gifts that God has given me to make positive change and impact in the space that I’m in.”
To use his platform to make a difference, Call Me Ace has decided to use all proceeds from pre-ordered bundles of the EP to donate to Faith In Action’s Live Free campaign. The Live Free campaign helps prevent gun violence, mass incarceration, and the criminalization of Black and Brown communities. As well as his donations, Google’s corporate gift-matching program promised to double his efforts. Ace’s EP helped raise $5,000+ and with the help of Google, a total of $10,000+ has been raised for Live Free’s initiative. Ace will continue to create music and support Black and Brown communities by using his platform and his voice.
