Since 2017, the Leading Ladies of Logistix is a black women-run organization that empowers female logistics and transportation professionals in North America. The Leading Ladies of Logistix organization has mentored nearly 3,000 women in their mentorship program and trained over 500 women individuals to start their transportation business.
The founders Tristen Simmons, Samantha Smith, Tawana Randall, and Vanessa Gant created the company to shape the future of businesswomen in the logistics industry. Leading Ladies of Logistix provides its members with development opportunities to foster valuable connections, all while facilitating member success through business and career growth. Understanding the difficulties that come with working in a male-dominated industry, Leading Ladies of Logistix is committed to empowering businesswomen in the transportation and logistics business to become successful on their own terms.
The company strives to provide opportunities for women to connect with and support each other; and deliver programs that contribute to their members’ personal and professional development.
With a core mission is to empower, strengthen and unite women in the transportation industry, Leading Ladies of Logistix hosts events throughout the year that allows all four founders of the organization to teach, motivate and inspire other women in the transportation business. Collectively the ladies have nearly 50 years of experience in the trucking, logistics & supply chain industry . The ladies feel inclined to share their knowledge to promote more women in the logistics & supply industry.
