( ENSPIRE Features ) Grammy-Winning Songwriter Sevyn Streeter Is The First B-CU Global Enrollee

Bethune-Cookman University is a private, historically Black university with a mission to develop global leaders committed to service. Now the university has reimaged access to higher education. B-CU Global is a transformative online learning platform that expands access to the university’s accredited bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. This initiative is breaking barriers in higher education, offering flexible online pathways for a modern work-life balance. B-CU Global is designed to help people who have really busy schedules pursue their educational goals. The B-CU Global program is tailored for three key groups: veterans, working adults, and “reclaimed Wildcats,” who are those who began their B-CU journey but haven’t finished yet or have been unable to. Furthermore, it offers self-paced learning and accessibility for weekend and evening classes.

To mark off the B-CU Global program launch, Grammy-winning songwriter Sevyn Streeter is the first enrollee in the transformative online learning initiative. Streeter’s enrollment reflects her personal connection as a B-CU Wildcat, with a rich family history on campus. Her journey captures the university’s enduring impact across generations. Through B-CU, you receive credit for prior professional experience and affordable payment plans. Registration is open mid-October, and classes will begin in the Spring of 2026. According to Dr. Albert Mosley, President of Bethune-Cookman University, “The ‘B-CU Global’ initiative builds on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune’s unwavering belief that education should be accessible to all.” Furthermore, she states, “For more than a century, B-CU has empowered students to rise, achieve, and lead. Today, through the power of technology, we are carrying that vision forward – opening doors for veterans, working adults, and Wildcats returning to finish what they started. This is B-CU Rising – All of us. All in.”
