Atlanta celebrated culture and community in a big way on October 3, officially declaring the day “Reading With Rari Day.” The recognition shines a spotlight on media personality Sean Ferrari Simmons for his dedication to literacy, education, and empowering the next generation.

Simmons, who has made his mark in radio and entertainment, is now using his platform to inspire children across classrooms. He recently released his debut children’s book, Little Rari Learns to Read—a story designed to encourage young readers to embrace literacy and see themselves reflected in books.

Through his “Reading With Rari” initiative, Simmons has been visiting schools, libraries, and community spaces to engage directly with kids. His approach goes beyond just reading stories—it’s about making literacy accessible, fun, and cool.

“Reading changed my life, and I want kids to know that it can change theirs too,” Simmons said. “This book is about showing them the power of words, and that they have the ability to succeed.”

The city’s decision to declare an official day in Simmons’ honor underscores his growing influence as not only a media figure but also a community advocate. By bridging entertainment with education, Simmons is demonstrating that giving back to the next generation is one of the most meaningful legacies a public figure can create.

With Little Rari Learns to Read now available, Simmons continues his mission to spread positivity, representation, and opportunity—one page at a time.
