ABC is hosting a special two-night event to commemorate the 60th anniversary of “Mary Poppins,” one of Walt Disney’s most cherished cinematic masterpieces. On Wednesday, November 27th, at 9:00 p.m. EST, tune in to ABC for “The Untold Story of Mary Poppins: A Special Edition of 20/20.” This two-hour documentary offers a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film, featuring rare footage, interviews with legendary stars like Dick Van Dyke, and insights from the Sherman Brothers, the musical duo behind the film’s timeless songs.
As part of this special anniversary, ABC will also premiere “The Last Verse,” a heartwarming short film that celebrates the enduring message of “It’s a Small World.” This new verse, written by the late Richard Sherman, adds a poignant touch to the classic song.
