( ENSPIRE Sports ) ESPNW Annual Women + Sports Summit Is Back To Talk About Important Issues In The Sports And Entertainment Industry
Every year, different women in the industry utilize the platform that ESPN gives them to touch on different topics such as women empowerment, equality, and talking about staying true to their identity while working in a professional environment. This year will kick off the 10th anniversary of the espnW: Women + Sports Summit! Already noted as the biggest Summit yet will unite a world-class group of leaders in sports and business, female athletes, and industry influencers for a two-day program of speakers, sports activities, and collaboration – all focused on creating positive change and opportunity for women in sports.
This year the main topic will be equal pay because a lot of women athletes are not getting paid as they should and the women who play these sports are trying to figure out a way to get paid equally like males. America has seen the Women’s Soccer team win another World Cup, but they do not get paid like the United States Men’s Soccer team.
The Summit will start Oct.21-23 in Newport Beach, CA. It will be headlined by WWE Superstar Becky Lynch, Robin Roberts, Ella Mai, and other phenomenal women who have achieved success in the industry.
The Summit is a one-of-a-kind event that connects, inspires, and enables attendees to gain valuable insights and meaningful data points while joining forces to shape an actionable vision for the future of women in sports.
