Jamaica Iconic Reggae Artists Capleton and Ken Boothe in association with the International Women Achievers Awards have joined forces to bring you a night of Jamaican music virtually on Facebook Live on Nov. 28th to raise funds for the Women Centre of Jamaica Foundation.

According to the organization’s website, the Women Centre of Jamaica Foundation (WCJF) was established in 1978 in response to the high level of teenage pregnancy experienced by the country. In 1991, the program gained foundation status, thus being named the Women’s Centre of Jamaica Foundation. The organization operates as a Limited Liability Company under the government ministry; presently the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment, and Sport. Initially, there was one center located at 42 Trafalgar Road, Kingston 10. The Foundation has since expanded to include 7 main centers and 11 outreach stations, island-wide.

Capleton and Ken Boothe have brought together some talented artists from Jamaica to join them in helping adolescent mothers with continuing education during their pregnancy. Please join the artists on Nov. 28th for a great night for a great cause.
