Keen Water, a Florida-based topwater supplier, and small Black-owned business has teamed up with AutoNation, America’s largest automotive retailer, to supply AutoNation’s 36 South Florida locations with their premium bottled alkaline water in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. AutoNation welcomed the opportunity to collaborate with Keen Water, especially during a time when awareness of social injustice and the importance of supporting local communities is growing.

The founders of Keen Water, Faheem Ali, and Melvin Bratton strive to help people experience ultimate hydration and feel confident in their health. The two lifelong athletes are no strangers to staying active and hydrated. Faheem Ali is a retired Eastern Michigan University and Louisiana Tech University football player, and Melvin Bratton is a University of Miami Hall of Famer and a retired Denver Broncos running back. Last year, Keen Water was proudly named the premiere water bottle partner for the NFL Alumni Association.

“AutoNation is pleased to support Keen Water. Partnering with Keen Water during October, to bring premium water in Drive Pink branded bottles is a great way to remind our Associates and Customers that it is Breast Cancer Awareness month. AutoNation is committed to drive out cancer as we race to over $25 Million donated to cancer treatment and research,” said Marc Cannon, AutoNation executive vice president, and chief customer experience officer.

“As a small, Black-owned business, we were beyond excited with the idea of teaming up with a major corporation like AutoNation,” Keen Water President Faheem Ali said. “Everything AutoNation does annually during the month of October for breast cancer awareness and through their Drive Pink campaign is amazing, and our alkaline water is the perfect addition to this already thriving campaign.”

As minority-run businesses in the hospitality, restaurant, and sports industry continue to be hit hardest during the COVID-19 pandemic, business owners and consumers must continue to uplift one another to support the community. Keen Water is available in 36 of AutoNation’s South Florida locations during October.
