It’s exciting to see new artists rise to the top of the music charts, and one artist is going above and beyond. MARIAH. (with a period) just released her new single titled “MAYBE” accompanied by a stunning music video. This song follows her 2022 groovy and in-your-face single, “Bizness” which received rave reviews and accolades. We expect the same from this new single.
ENSPIRE is eager to highlight artists who are shifting the music industry. MARIAH. continues to break barriers and prove naysayers wrong, which ENSPIRE loves to see. She’s already been breaking ground in the top music charts. For example in late 2021, Mariah. secured her first Billboard Top 30 R&B song with the smash single, “Material Girl”. The song topped various charts around the country.
Her new single “MAYBE” was written with graceful and powerful lyrics. Mariah. says her song was “was written from the vantage point of one wanting more out of life, more than ‘what ifs‘ and “probably.” After a trial period [in a relationship], there comes a time when one wants to be solidified or come to a mutual understanding on how to move forward. Whether the individual wants to pursue the journey or completely end it- either is fine. A sure answer is what one truly seeks. Gray space becomes cloudy and lines get blurred when you say ‘Maybe’.”
Besides being an inspiring musician, Mariah. is also an active philanthropist. She is an active partner with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to support their “Love Music Stop Cancer” Campaign to help raise awareness and funds to save lives via the initiative #MusicGives and #LoveMusicStopCancer. Mariah. stands strong in her faith in God, and as a NICU Nurse and proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.
As an example of perseverance, especially in the music industry, although it took time to find the level of success she has now, she believes in never giving up. “Never settle for less than because He created you for more,” she says.
