London’s Soho neighborhood danced the night away in an event studded with glamor and opulence on the evening of Thursday, October 26. The festivities were in celebration of the grand opening of Broadwick Soho, an independent luxury hotel in London’s West End, and included vibrant musical entertainment, drinks, and a notable line-up of guests to mark the star-studded event.
The grand opening event was championed by musical performances from DJ Gilles Peterson and a surprise performance by Eve, who performed crowd-favorite songs including Who’s That Girl, Tambourine and Rich Girl. Some of Soho’s finest guests including Amanda Lepore, Dynamo, Mutya Buena, Sabrina Elba, and Pixie Geldof rang in the celebration in black-tie attire with Taittinger champagne and cocktails by Don Julio 1942 Tequila, Tanqueray Ten and Ketel One.
Broadwick Soho, the brainchild of a group of friends headed by Noel Hayden, was inspired by Hayden’s family’s hotel, Mon Ami, and is a tribute to his childhood memories. It is run under the watchful eye of General Manager David Monson. The contemporary 57-room retreat, boasting an offer of impeccable service and quality, nine suites, and one penthouse, sits on the corner of Broadwick Street and Berwick Street in the middle of one of London’s busiest neighborhoods.
While elephants adorn the entrance to the hotel, the rooms inside are decorated elegantly with broad strokes of color splashed throughout the lodgings. The aesthetic spirit of the hotel, created by world-renowned interior designer Martin Brudnizki, is shaped by the splendor of the Jazz Age and Disco eras and encircled with a touch of travels around Italy and English eccentricity.
The hotel offers a broad range of restaurants and bars where guests can eagerly wine and dine; Dear Jackie, the hotel’s flagship lower-ground restaurant; Bar Jackie, a vibrant street-level cafe for both hotel guests and passers-by; The Nook, a resident-only lounge; Flute, the hotel’s rooftop bar and terrace, and The Dining Room, an eighth-floor private dining space overlooking Soho.
The grand opening celebration of Broadwick Soho was a mesmerizing glimpse into the future of luxury hospitality in the heart of London. As the doors prepare to swing wide open for guests this November, the event served as a dazzling prelude to the opulence, elegance, and cultural resonance that awaits within the hotel’s walls. A celebration that combined musical enchantment, celebrity allure, and architectural beauty, it set the stage for a new era of unparalleled experiences. Broadwick Soho stands poised to etch its name as a beacon of sophistication, an oasis where historical reminiscence meets contemporary elegance. With its promise of unparalleled service and an array of experiences, this newest gem in London’s landscape invites guests to step into a world of refined indulgence and timeless allure.
