( ENSPIRE Music ) Maverick City Music Has Been Nominated for Two Grammys in 2024

Maverick City Music is one of the top gospel groups of our time, leading the genre and breaking barriers within the music industry. They are a five-time Grammy-winning, multicultural, genre-bending group that brings hope and light to listeners all around. Founded in 2018, the group has already seen record-breaking numbers in their career. Just last year, the group won all four of their Grammy nominations, tying with Beyonce for most wins of the night.
This upcoming year, Maverick City is not far behind their previous success. They already have two nominations for the 2024 Grammys. On October 27th, Their 22-track album, ‘The Maverick Way Complete’ was released. They have been nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song (“God Problems”) and Best Gospel Album (“The Maverick Way”).

The album features tracks from the ‘The Maverick Way’ EP, which reached number one on Billboard’s Top Gospel Album chart. The album features collaborations with none other than Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Travis Greene, Cody Carnes, and more. ‘The Maverick Way Complete’ incorporates Maverick City’s notorious passionate sounds, while mixing in a blend of gospel, R&B, pop, and contemporary worship.
Maverick City is making history as they are a gospel group breaking through into the secular music space. At the 2023 Grammys, Maverick City not only won all of their Grammy nomination awards but had their debut performance. They dominated the Christian and Gospel categories. This performance became the first in the genre in over 20 years to perform during the televised event. These wins follow their Grammy win In 2021, for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album (“Old Church Basement”).
