Alicia Keys, the soulful songstress and iconic Grammy-winning artist, is celebrating the 20th anniversary of her multi-platinum second album, “The Diary of Alicia Keys,” with an enchanting treat for fans. Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, released “The Diary of Alicia Keys 20,” an expanded edition featuring nine bonus tracks, including the previously unreleased rarity “Golden Child” from Alicia’s personal vault. This special edition, available in 360RA and Dolby Atmos, also includes four brand new music videos, adding an extra layer of delight for aficionados.
Alicia Keys curated a special Pop-Up at the AWAKE NY store on Orchard Street in New York to commemorate this milestone in early December. This unique experience showcased the collaborative merchandise designed by AWAKE NY, along with previously unseen memorabilia from the album’s creation era and one-of-a-kind artworks.
The grand celebration didn’t end there. Alicia Keys performed an intimate, once-in-a-lifetime anniversary concert at New York’s Webster Hall on December 1, where she mesmerized the audience by performing the album in its entirety. A portion of each ticket’s price was to be donated to Keep A Child Alive, adding a philanthropic touch to the festivities.
