On its first anniversary Chicago-based business, Grasshopper Club, made an astounding achievement. During their poll to find the best of the best, Grasshopper Club was crowned winner of the Best Dispensary in Chicago. Now, not only are they the first and only Black-Owned dispensary in the Windy City, but also the greatest.

In celebration of being named “Best Dispensary in Chicago,” Grasshopper Club will host numerous promotions and events. Within a year Grasshopper Club proved itself above the rest for a variety of cannabis needs. Grasshopper Club also aims to build career paths or ownership opportunities to create a more diverse ecosystem in the industry. From many customer reviews, Grasshopper Club earns highly positive ratings from 4.3 stars on Yelp to 4.8 stars on Leafly.

In Chicago, IL, the Brewer family found the Grasshopper Club dispensary. This includes Matthew Brewer (son), Chuck Brewer (son), and Dianne Brewer (mother). In February 2023, Grasshopper Club opened its doors to its flagship location in Logan Square which garnered local and national attention from dozens of outlets including, ABC, NBC, WGN, CBS, Chicago Tribune, Black Enterprise, Essence, Afrotech, and more. Grasshopper Club opened its second location in the heart of the South Loop later in August 2023, becoming the neighborhood’s first dispensary. All the while, the Grasshopper Club has distinguished itself as an establishment of excellence. They provided curated products, concierge-level service, and an overall vibe.

“We’ve come a long way from opening our doors a year ago to being recognized as the best dispensary in the city. It’s a credit to our team and the surrounding community. Over the next year, we look forward to doubling down on the customer experience and offering the most curated products and experiences,” says Founder Matthew Brewer.
