Nigel Sylvester and Jordan Brand Celebrate Tenacity and Style with Brick by Brick Collection Launch

Renowned BMX athlete and creative visionary Nigel Sylvester co-hosted a special dinner with Jordan Brand to unveil their latest collection, Brick by Brick. Held at The Standard, High Line, the exclusive event brought together celebrities, influencers, and tastemakers from the worlds of music, entertainment, and fashion for a surprise showcase of the collection. The Brick by Brick collection, set to release on March 14th, encompasses a new apparel line – Nigel’s first with Jordan Brand – and a unique brick-colored shoe, a first-of-its-kind colorway for Jordan.

The collection title draws inspiration from the common idiom, signifying gradual and diligent achievement. For Sylvester, this concept holds deep personal significance. It reflects the challenges and triumphs that have shaped his career as a BMX athlete and a creative force. The idea of “building brick by brick” resonates with many, representing the steady effort required to overcome obstacles and reach one’s full potential.

Furthermore, the collection pays homage to the iconic red bricks that define the architectural landscape of New York City. These bricks, woven into the city’s streets, bridges, parks, and buildings, embody the enduring strength and spirit of the town itself. Notable attendees at the event included J Balvin, Lena Waithe, ASAP Ferg, Hasan Minhaj, and more. The evening featured a surprise fashion show, highlighting the shoes accompanied by several garments.

New York native Sylvester is the first BMX rider to join Michael Jordan’s coveted Jordan Brand roster. He has collaborated with Nike and Air Jordan on several sneaker designs, including two highly sought-after colorways of the Jordan AJ4RM that sold out instantly in 2024.

Sylvester, a true creative visionary, recently made his directorial debut with the visual campaign “Grandma’s Driveway.” He also serves as Creative Advisor for New Era Cap and creative director for their “Forever New York” campaign. Global brands have been enlisted his creative talents, including Nike, EA Sports, Mercedes, Levi’s, Louis Vuitton, PlayStation, Moncler, Specialized Bikes, Rimowa, and Smart Water.


Committed to giving back, Sylvester established the Nigel Sylvester Foundation in 2021. The foundation supports initiatives such as after-school programs, bike donations, and fundraising community bike rides to empower underserved youth.
