The BronzeLens Film Festival is set to ignite Atlanta with its 2025 Women SuperStars Honors. The event aims to celebrate the monumental achievements of three extraordinary women: Valarie Pettiford, Egypt Sherrod, and Myeshia Mizuno. They will be honored for their groundbreaking contributions to film, television, and media, respectively, at a gala event on March 1st at the Rialto Center for the Arts. This year’s honorees harbor the spirit of BronzeLens, which champions women of color who have broken barriers and paved the way for future successes.

Valarie Pettiford, the Legendary SuperStar, boasts a nearly five-decade career as a multifaceted entertainer, earning stage, screen, and television. From her roles in iconic series like “Half and Half” to her recent appearance in “The Mandalorian,” Pettiford’s talent knows no bounds. Pettiford currently plays the dynamic Chippy Duncan for five – soon to be six – seasons of BET’s hit series “The Family Business” and recently joined “The Young and The Restless” as Amy Lewis.

In addition, Egypt Sherrod, the Vanguard SuperStar, has redefined real estate and design. As the host and executive producer of HGTV‘s “Married to Real Estate,” she has captivated millions with her expertise and entrepreneurship. Sherrod is the Founder & CEO of the Indigo Road family of companies, which encompasses Indigo Road Realty, Indigo Road Design Group, and Indigo Road Home Furnishings.

Furthermore, Myeshia Mizuno has revolutionized television production. The Emmy-winning showrunner and executive producer of “Family Feud” and “Celebrity Family Feud” has consistently delivered hit shows that showcase her visionary leadership and creative prowess of over 25 years. Her journey from advertising to primetime television is a testament to her dedication and talent.

“We are thrilled to honor these remarkable women who have demonstrated extraordinary strength, determination, and brilliance,” said Kathleen Bertrand, BronzeLens’ Founder and Executive Producer. “Their contributions are a testament to the power of women of color in leadership, and they are role models for innovators and changemakers of the future.”

The awards ceremony will feature an “In Conversation” segment with the honorees, moderated by Ayoka Chenzira, providing attendees with unique insights into their careers. The event serves as a crucial fundraiser for the BronzeLens Creators Scholarship, which will award two $10,000 scholarships to aspiring filmmakers from HBCUs. In addition, BonezeLens will host their annual “Sunday Brunch with the Brothers” on March 2nd at 10 AM, a panel of men of color who work in the entertainment industry and share their wisdom and success.
