Gospel’s biggest night is turning 40 — and it’s doing so extravagantly. The Stellar Awards, often hailed as gospel music’s most prestigious ceremony, is set to return to Nashville on August 16, 2025, bringing with it a celebration decades in the making.
BeBe & CeCe Winans are a well-known sibling duo from Detroit’s iconic Winans family. They rose to fame in the 1980s with their distinctive blend of gospel, R&B, and soul, releasing hits such as “Addictive Love” and “Close to You.” Over the years, they’ve won GRAMMY, Dove, Stellar, and Soul Train Awards, helping bring gospel music into the mainstream. Their songs continue to inspire with a message of faith, hope, and love.

Under the theme “Our Music, Our Voice, Our Culture,” the 40th annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards promises a powerful night filled with soul-stirring performances, moving tributes, and well-deserved honors.
Artists confirmed to hit the stage include Adia, Donnie McClurkin, Dottie Peoples, Jekalyn Carr, Jason Nelson, Lisa Page Brooks, MAJOR., Melvin Crispell III, Pastor Mike Jr., Pastor Mike Todd & Transformation Worship, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Tasha Page-Lockhart, Tramaine Hawkins, and William Murphy.
“We’re setting the tone for a night that celebrates 40 years of celebrating the greatest in gospel music,” said Jennifer Jackson, President of Central City Productions.
The weekend of events kicks off with the return of Stellar Plus, a two-day immersive experience running August 14–15. Industry leaders and fans alike will gather for exclusive panels, networking events, and the annual Stellar Nominee Pre-Show Dinner, hosted by Dorinda Clark-Cole and Vincent Bohanan at the National Museum of African American Music.
Executive producer Don Jackson, alongside Jennifer J. Jackson and a talented creative team, promises a show that reflects not only the excellence of its honorees but also the enduring spirit of gospel music. With support from sponsors like P&G, General Motors, AT&T, and AARP, this year’s celebration stands as both a tribute and a launching point for the next generation of gospel greatness.
