Lincoln Center Theater and Seaview announced that comedian and actress Ego Nwodim (Saturday Night Live) will join the lineup for The Comedy Series and New York City’s Lincoln Center Theater’s Clair Tow Theater this fall, completeing the series of comedians. Nwodim’s show, directed by Zhailon Levingston, runs from November 19-23, marking her first time performing Off-Broadway.
Recognized by Variety as part of its New York Women’s Impact Report, Ego Nwodim has become one of comedy’s most distinctive voices. During her seven years on Saturday Night Live, she created memorable characters like “Miss Eggy” and “Lisa from Temecula,” earning herself NAACP nominations in 2024 and 2025.

She recently wrapped production on the Netflix comedy Little Brother alongside John Cena and Eric Andre and hosts the podcast THANKS, DAD, featuring guests such as Andy Cohen, Randall Park, and Bill Burr. Her screen credits include Poker Face (Peacock), Roar (Apple TV+), Players (Netflix), Spin Me Round, and Good Burger 2. Before the glamor of SNL, Nwodim performed at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles and was featured as a New Face at Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival, steadily building up a reputation as an emerging star.
Director Zhailon Levingston is an Obie Award–winning storyteller and activist. He co-directed Cats: The Jellicle Ball at the Perelman Arts Center and became the youngest Black director in Broadway history with Chicken and Biscuits.
The Comedy Series will also feature Vir Das, Jerrod Carmichael, and Sam Jay. Das opens the series with Hey Stranger (October 29-November 9), followed by Jerrod Charmichael Live on Stage (November 12-16) and Sam Jay: We The People (December 3-14). “The Comedy Series is part of Lincoln Center Theater’s 2025–2026 season under Artistic D—because the creative process isn’t a straight line, and neither is this show. It’s comedy that’s evolving before your eyes. Join us for a bold new series where stand-up grows up—and out.”
