The Ninth annual GRAMMY In The Schools® Celebration Of Music & Education, presented by Ford Motor Company Fund will take place Thursday, Jan 25, 2018. The attendees include members of GRAMMY Camp®—Jazz Session along with special guest performer and past GRAMMY Camp—Jazz Session participant Jon Batiste; Pamela Alexander, director, community development, Ford Motor Company Fund; and Neil Portnow, President/CEO of the Recording Academy™ and Board Chair of the GRAMMY Museum®. The recipient of the Recording Academy and the GRAMMY Museum’s fifth annual Music Educator Award™ will also be in attendance.

The GRAMMY Museum’s GRAMMY in the Schools programs (including GRAMMY Camp, GRAMMY Camp—Weekend, GRAMMY Camp—Jazz Session, GRAMMY Signature Schools, Jane Ortner Education Award, and more) are for U.S. high school students and schools. These programs receive support from Ford Motor Company Fund as part of Ford’s commitment to music education.
GRAMMY Camp offers selected high school students an interactive nonresidential summer music experience. Focusing on all aspects of commercial music, this unique opportunity provides instruction by industry professionals in an immersive creative environment with cutting-edge technology in professional facilities. The program offers eight music career tracks: Audio Engineering; Electronic Music Production; Music Business; Music Journalism; Performance-Instrumental; Performance-Vocal; Songwriting; and Video Production. All tracks culminate in media projects, recordings and/or showcase performances. Funds help support scholarships to program participants. The 2018 GRAMMY Camp application deadline is March 31, 2018. Financial assistance is available to qualified applicants.
