( ENSPIRE Feature ) A NYFW Tribute for Black History Month in True Iconic Style
Harlem’s Fashion Row started NYFW honoring the fashion legends for Black History Month. The who is who of fashion, style, and everything nice was in attendance at Sony Hall in New York City. This event was a celebration of the creativity and loyalty to the craft of fashion icons of April Walker, Dapper Dan, and Misa Hylton.
Supporters, the fashion elite and the media enjoyed the celebration of fashion icons. A certain type of crowd came out to celebrate in fashion, style, love, and support. The room had a welcoming aura that fit the caliber of honorees. Amazon, a sponsor for the event was there to capture the moments as well and piqued interest due to this collaboration.
DJ Envy and Dominique Terrell kept the crowd grooving and reminiscing. Guests could not help but get down to the classic hip hop music of the ’90s. The stroll down memory lane was key to paying homage to the honorees as we remember how impactful their styling and profiling of famous celebrities, music videos and movies of that golden era of hip hop.
A special performance that honored the fashion icons was truly unforgettable. The performances were amazing, the dancers brought those old moves back, and choir hit those take you to church notes.
Everyone there knew what a special moment this was and was proud to be in attendance. A lot of familiar faces, good spirits, and overall positive vibes took over this unforgettable event.
