( ENSPIRE Community Spotlight ) Creators of Berg Bites Wants to Donate All Proceeds From Sales to Help Feed Children and Families Adversely Affected by the Coronavirus

In this time of national crisis, many businesses and organizations are able to contribute what they can to help those in need. Washington, D.C. based “Berg Bites”, creators of nutritional, clean energy snacks are launching a campaign to donate 100% of the profits from the sales on their website to No Kid Hungry. A national, but locally based organization in D.C., No Kid Hungry is a nonprofit working to solve problems of hunger and poverty in the United States and around the world.
From now until June 14th, when customers purchase a case of either Berg Bites or Berg Bars online, 100 percent of those sales will be donated. That equates to 170 meals donated for 1 case of Bars purchased and 130 meals donated for 1 case of Bites purchased. The impact of these donations will make a world of difference to hungry children in America. It is estimated that 1 in 4 children will be going hungry due to this pandemic. Supporters will also be able to donate directly through a link on the Berg Bites website.
“It has always been at the forefront of our mission to have a positive impact on the communities that we serve, especially the youth, and we want to help assure that children across the U.S are always kept fed with nutritious foods so that they can grow up to be healthy and strong,” said Daniel Berg, Founder of Berg Bites.
Berg Bites started at the Berg family household when they would serve “health bites” as a dessert to guests. Everyone fell in love with these bites and Daniel decided that someday, he’d make sure this healthy treat would be available for all. And he did just that! Almost 4 years later, Berg Bites can be found in retailers across the nation, delivering long term energy with complex carbohydrates from heart healthy oats, essential fatty acids from nuts, chia seeds and coconut oil, and prebiotic fiber for gut health.
Berg Bites hopes to make this endeavor as effective and successful for No Kid Hungry as possible. Spreading the word and inspiring those to participate is beneficial for all, especially our country’s youth.
