The COVID-19 pandemic has put a pause on travel for most people, especially vacation travel. With more time being spent at home, more than a third (36%) of Americans find themselves daydreaming about traveling daily or more. To help fuel the good vibes and restock the vision boards, Airbnb released the top 50 most unique, wish-listed Airbnb’s across all 50 states from 2020. According to a recent survey,* exploring new, travel bucket list destinations online and looking back at past trips triggers positive emotions, including happiness, uplift, and hope.
The top wish-listed Airbnb’s are a series of places that people are either visualizing themselves in and searching or the places first on their list to visit once travel becomes safe again. The list also serves as an inspiration to others who don’t have as much experience with travel adventures.
