On this year’s trip, travelers will be able to participate in an African Ancestry Genealogy test, which will be revealed at the historical Cape Coast Slave Castle, where millions of Africans were enslaved and shipped to the Americas and Caribbean. Travelers will also be able to take part in a traditional African Naming Ceremony.
Additional events and activities include attending Afrochella, one of Africa’s premier music festivals; a festive Black Star New Year’s Eve Party; an Aqua Safari Day Trip; visiting the Kakum National Park; W.E.B. Du Bois Memorial Centre for Pan African Culture; Camp Tsatse, one of Ghana’s most luxurious resorts in Ada; Assin Manso Ancestral River Site; taking a traditional African dance class at The University of Legon; and a nighttime beach bonfire and cultural performance. The final event of the trip will feature a Black Star festive dinner and New Year’s Eve Party.
