Jabari Banks’ life changed in split seconds when Will Smith surprises him with the news of landing the lead role as Will in the reboot of the classic television series, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Like Will Smith, Jabari Banks is fresh out of Philadelphia, born and raised, and he now has the opportunity of a lifetime to be the Prince of Bel-Air. Jabari credits his father for bringing the role to his attention on the call with Will Smith. Jabari says his father had brought him a newspaper that had an article on Will Smith’s intentions to reboot the series and suggested that he audition for the role. About The New Fresh Prince of Bel-Air: Jabari currently resides in West Philadelphia. In 2020, he received his bachelor’s degree from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He is a songwriter, singer, rapper, and basketball player in addition to acting.

When Can We Expect To See The Show: Peacock gave the show a two-season order in September 2020. According to Deadline, T.J. Brady and Rasheed Newson, whose credits include The Chi and The 100, serve as executive producers and co-showrunners. Morgan Cooper directs and serves as co-writer and executive producer. As for an exact date of when the show will premiere, that is still to be determined.
