( ENSPIRE Entertainment ) Spanish Capital Flooded With Artists, Such as St.Vincent, for Grand Opening of the Madrid EDITION

The city of Madrid was filled with A-list celebrities as they gathered at the Madrid EDITION hotel from April 21 to April 24 to celebrate the official launch of the EDITION’s 14th hotel. This weekend was star-studded with performances by St. Vincent, Benji B, and María José Llergo to celebrate this exciting weekend for EDITION. Along with these special guests, some others included Bimini Bon Boulash, Wilmer Valderamma, D-Nice, Jake Shears, Briet Elfar, Enrique Olvera, Diego Muñoz, and Raven Smith.
The EDITION hotel is one of its kind flooded with luxury in every aspect. The hotel includes the best in dining and entertainment. EDITION has locations across the world, including New York and Tokyo, so each one in various countries is unique to the cultural and social environment in that given area. This hotel will be the second EDITION hotel in Spain just four years after its first Spain hotel in Barcelona in 2018. The hotel was first created by Ian Schrager who partnered up with Marriott International to bring the characteristics of both enterprises to create a successful hotel. Schrager is known for bringing a personal and intimate experience to his hotel while Marriot has a global reach on a large scale. Each hotel looks different from one another to bring the modern aesthetic and lifestyle alive in a unique way. The hotel’s main mission for its guests is not about the way the hotel looks, but the way it makes its guests feel when they stay at one of its locations. Inside the grand hotel, guests will have access to 200 guest rooms and suites. Besides this, there are terraces, five food, and beverage outlets. For example, the Sky Bar includes a cocktail bar and rooftop terrace.
There was never a dull moment in this four-day-long event that included celebrations and events for guests to attend each day. When the guest first arrived on Thursday, the event started immediately with a sunset dinner at Oroya, a rooftop restaurant and terrace by Chef-Partner Diego Muñoz, to serve the guests on the day of their arrival. In this space, diverse cultures are brought together while on the rooftop looking over the beautiful, culture-dense city. Some of the A-list guests included Thora Valdimars and Dejan Obradovíc.The evening was followed by a Flamenco performance by El Yiyo and El Tete in the hotel’s penthouse, which is the largest one in Madrid. At the penthouse, well-known faces gathered around for the performance such as Julia Hobbs.
Friday, the next day at the event, the celebration kicked off with the Madrid A-listers coming to the hotel for a property takeover. They gathered in various parts of the EDITION hotel, such as the Lobby Bar, Jerónimo, Oroya, and Punch Room. The Jerónimo is one of the hotel’s restaurants that offers delicious Mexican flavors. The restaurant is decorated with colorful textiles, a green slate bar, and oak finishes. The EDITION hotel is known for its punch rooms in that it’s the fourth of its kind in Madrid. Inside, there is a beautiful copper bar and wool rugs, and the location is known for serving its famous Corsair Punch. Finally, the Lobby Bar offers a space for guests that is decorated with custom-made furniture, such as recycled bronze stools and sofas. On Saturday, the final day of the celebration, there was a celebratory dinner at Jerónimo with Chef Partner Enrique Olvera. The night concluded with a performance by Grammy Award-winning artists, St. Vincent and María José Llergo in the hotel’s Supper Club.
The launch of the 14th EDITION hotel in Madrid was filled with A-list visitors to celebrate and acknowledge the culture of Spain’s capital. Performers from across the country and globe came together for this four-day celebration to celebrate the EDITION hotel and what it will bring to this city. The EDITION hotel is unique in Spain in that it specifically made it for the capital to celebrate its Spanish culture while also bringing a modern and savvy experience to its guests. With the help of Schrager and Marriott hotel, both have teamed up to create the ultimate experience for their guests and this event at the EDITION accomplished that.
