Welcome to tommie Hollywood, a new Hyatt hotel property that opened as of December 1, 2021. The hotel is on the same block as the Thompson Hollywood and is the first Category 4 World of Hyatt Property to be in the Los Angeles area.
The hotel features 212 guest rooms including seven suites, Chef Wes Avila’s KA’TEEN, rooftop bar, and lounge, as well as a sprawling pool offering 360-degree city views. The hotel offers a casual, contemporary aesthetic with a mid-century modern touch all thanks to Studio Collective.
At the launch of tommie Hollywood, a new 9-floor lifestyle hotel in the heart of Hollywood, musicians, models, actresses and actors, influencers, and designers made an appearance. Some names include Eyal Booker, Amelia Hamlin, ACYDE, Marcell Pustul, Nick Simmons, Joey Zauzig, Christina Caradona, Billy Brown, Zolita, Dani Miller, Petty Cash, and Heidi Lawden.
The evening began with dinner at Chef Wes Avila’s KA’TEEN, a new signature ground-floor Tulum-inspired restaurant that resembles a lush tropical enclave. It serves as a lush refuge and vibrant late-night social scene or creative cocktails and decadent dinners.
The guests sipped delicious cocktails and indulged in a decadent family-style dinner with music from Heidi Lawden. They then ventured onto a rooftop lounge called Desert 5 Spot, the striking open-air rooftop bar that captures vintage and eccentric all in one. This is where a weekly curated calendar of live music and evening programming from an in-house honkytonk band plays as well.
The various yucca, cactus, and vintage furnishings emphasized the 1970s vintage Palm Springs meets Pioneertown vibe. With live music from Petty Cash, Wade Crescent, and Marc Baker, guests danced and mingled on the open-air rooftop lounge late into the night. There was even a featured taco stand and a mechanical bull for extra added fun.
If you’re looking for an extremely fun, vibrant, chic, and eccentric place to stay, then come to tommie Hollywood. In the heart of Hollywood, you can’t beat how close it is to shops and restaurants.
Tommie Hollywood is a quintessentially California Hotel where they have reimagined the guest experience to include all the best features and essentials.
