Serena Williams is the latest celebrity to partner with Cash App’s first brand campaign, “That’s Money”. The campaign aims to prove how gratifying it can feel to take control of your money using Cash App’s products such as $cashtags, Cashpad, Cash Card, and more.
Cash App launched a series of fifteen-second videos to show users the ease and joy of using the app for everyday money management.
Williams stars in the latest brand video that was released on August 2. Viewers see Williams coming home from an evening out and instantly paying her babysitter through Cash App.
“I am a huge proponent of financial independence, education, and accessibility,” said Williams. “I want to use my platform to raise awareness around the opportunities money management tools like Cash App have to offer, so working together was a no-brainer. Cash App’s new brand campaign highlights just one of Cash App’s features I love to use and I hope this will show audiences that they can also financially interact with friends and family in a seamless way.”
Additional videos are in the works with other celebrities such as NFL wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr, and Formula One driver Sergio Pérez.
“At Cash App, we aim to make money an accessible and liberating experience for anyone,” said Catherine Ferdon, Head of Brand and Marketing at Cash App. “Through our first-ever brand campaign, we’re thrilled to partner with culture-defining icons like Serena Williams and Odell Beckham Jr. who are best in class in their industries and financially savvy themselves, to introduce our products to new audiences and empower anyone to take control of their finances with Cash App.”
The first wave of videos will run on streaming services such as Hulu, Tubi, and ESPN+, as well as social platforms Youtube, Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat.
