On June 2nd, 2023, GRAMMY® nominated, Billboard Music, and NAACP Image Award-winning, inspirational artist, Koryn Hawthorne, released her brand new single, “Cry,” lifted from her forthcoming third album. The triple-threat entertainer’s new single, “Cry” is available to stream and purchase on all music platforms available.

Produced by J White Did It, “Cry” demonstrates Hawthorne’s ability to transcend across all genres, showcasing her signature vocals and encouraging lyrics over the popular music sample, “In All My Wildest Dreams” by the late jazz legend, Joe Sample. Hawthorne gracefully reminds her listeners, that it’s okay to show emotions and be vulnerable amid any life storm.

Having carved a lane of her own, Hawthorne provides a refreshing blend of gospel, pop, hip-hop, and R&B. She is best known for being a finalist in season 8 of NBC’s reality TV singing competition The Voice, placing fourth place as a member on Pharrell Williams’ team. After finishing in 4th place on The Voice, Hawthorne was signed to RCA Inspiration. Since her performance on The Voice she has been seen as a guest star on WE tv’s Mary Mary, Bounce’s Saints & Sinners, and OWN’s “Greenleaf.” Koryn went on to shatter Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs Chart in 2018, claiming the title of the longest reign by a female artist, with her infectious #1 smash hit “Won’t He Do It” – garnering RIAA-Certified Gold® recognition. Hawthorne recently starred in the Peacock original film, PRAISE THIS, portraying mean-girl, “Fallon.”

RCA Inspiration is the Gospel label operating under Provident Entertainment, a division of Sony Music Entertainment. One of the premiere labels in Gospel and Inspirational Music, RCA Inspiration is the home of top artists Donald Lawrence, Donnie McClurkin, Hezekiah Walker, Kierra Sheard, Mali Music, Le’Andria Johnson, Koryn Hawthorne, and more.
