Airbnb has announced the addition of multiple exciting houses for users to rent. Following the release of beloved houses such as Barbie’s Malibu DreamHouse, Home Alone House, and Shrek’s Swamp, Airbnb is adding Icons. This new category offers experiences unavailable anywhere else, with iconic hosts from music, film, art, sports, and more. It will allow fans to step into previously unseen worlds. The first 11 Icons have already been revealed, with more to come. New Icons are dropping every other week.

These once-in-a-lifetime experiences include the opportunity for fans to spend time with well-known celebrities, starting with musician Doja Cat and comedian Kevin Hart. This incredible launch is only the beginning, as more celebrities will soon offer their personal experiences to their fans through Airbnb.

The Purple Rain house was one of the first Icons to launch. This Prince-themed rental is a tribute to one of the greatest artists ever. It’s celebrating the 40th anniversary of his legendary album and film, Purple Rain. Guests will explore the newly restored home in Prince’s hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota. This rental will allow fans to experience rare, unique tracks from Prince’s world.

Another exciting rental that was announced is an opportunity for guests to tour with Feid. Fans will join him on his fuzzy green tour bus for a week of his world tour, Ferxxocalipsis. Guests will attend shows, experience life behind the scenes, and sit in the front row, seeing the real life of Ferxxo.

Doja Cat is also hosting guests, offering a much more intimate experience. Doja will be performing for guests in the living room. This is a fantastic opportunity for fans to get close and personal with their favorite artist. The Grammy-winning artist will be performing her favorite songs from her latest album.

Kevin Hart will give his guests the experience of a lifetime by taking them inside his members-only Coramine Live Lounge to experience an A-list evening. This fun-filled night will feature tequila tasting and live stand-up by the best comedians in the business.

Along with those celebrity-focused opportunities, Airbnb has announced other unimaginable rentals. These include the Up House, based on the Pixar film, where guests will participate in various activities based on the movie and stay in the Up House, which floats. Another exciting rental option is to spend the night at the Ferrari Museum in Italy. The bed is crafted from the same leather as Ferrari seats, and you can take a lap with Scuderia Ferrari ambassador driver Marc Gené and head to Emilia-Romagna’s premier race as a VIP guest.

Following the release of the animated series X-Men ‘97, Airbnb has announced a new rental that recreates the X-Mansion in Westchester, New York. This 2D animated Marvel-themed house will allow guests to discover their mutant abilities and train in the Danger Room.

Rentals allow guests to stay in the Musee d’Orsay, stay with Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor, a game with Khaby Lame, and make core memories with Joy from Inside Out 2. You can find more information about these rentals and when they will be open HERE

Brian Chesky, co-founder and CEO of Airbnb, said, “Icons take you inside worlds that only existed in your imagination—until now.” He also said, “As life becomes increasingly digital, we focus on bringing more magic into the real world. With Icons, we’ve created the most extraordinary experiences on Earth.”

Icons are available in their category on the Airbnb app. Most Icon rentals are free and cost less than $100 per guest. Those who want to experience these once-in-a-lifetime opportunities can request to book a rental once it goes live on the app. The lucky guests selected for the available 4,000 tickets will receive a digital golden ticket.

Along with that, Airbnb has added new features for group trips. This includes shared wishlists, allowing you to collaborate with others more quickly on your journey. There is also a new messages tab, allowing everyone on a trip to message in a group chat with the host. It also features AI-suggested replies to respond to commonly asked questions quickly. Guests can invite others to join them after booking a trip with a digital postcard of their destination.

Significant upgrades for hosts also exist. The earnings dashboard has been expanded with interactive performance charts and automated reports. The Listings tab has also been updated, giving hosts more control when creating and editing photo tours showcasing their space. Switching between the guest and host sides of the app is also more accessible now.
