( ENSPIRE Entertainment ) Your New Summer Anthem is Here: Spinall’s “One Call” featuring Tyla and Omah Lay

Who better than SPINALL to dominate this summer with his unique mix of house and Afrobeats? After becoming the first Afrobeats DJ to play two weekends in a row at this year’s Coachella Valley Music Festival with an electrifying set, SPINALL returns with “One Call,” which is the perfect song for anyone thinking about a summertime romance and was produced by Nigerian producer P.Priime and SPINALL. Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, Davido, and other prominent names in music have all collaborated with SPINALL, building his status as one of Africa’s hottest DJs and producers. This latest track is an extension of this hit catalog of collaborative hits.
Over the past ten years, Afrobeats have been introduced to a global audience thanks mainly to the joyful, genre-bending approach of Nigerian producer and performer SPINALL. Starting from being the first African DJ to perform at SXSW in 2015 and making an appearance in Beyonce’s musical documentary about her 2019 soundtrack album, The Lion King: The Gift, Spinall has gained over 2.8 million monthly Spotify listeners globally.
His newest album, 2023’s Top Boy, features influences from R&B, amapiano, and electronic music, with guests including Ghanaian-American Afro-fusion star Amaarae (“Bow Down”) and British rapper Stefflon Don (“Oshey”), Nigerian star Asake (Palazzo), the legend Olamide (Bunda) alongside the Nina Simone-sampling “Power (Remember Who You Are),” mixed and mastered by Dr. Dre. And his new single “Loju” features Wizkid’s soothing vocals over a beat that sizzles like hot oil. Although Spinall is grateful for the praise, he remains true to his roots by creating music that has an international appeal without sacrificing any originality.
In 2014, the Lagos native collaborated with Burna Boy on his debut single, “GBÀ GBÈ É,” a joyous track that became an immediate hit. Following the release of his debut, he would go on to release four more albums by 2020. With several successful singles and awards under his belt, as well as a strong record label of his own, TheCAPMusic, he is currently connecting with the global market and doing power plays to grow his incredible network and continue to pave the way for DJs from the African continent including upcoming debut festival performances including Coachella and Lollapalooza in 2024.
The brand-new single “One Call” features Omah Lay and Tyla vocals over the signature Afro-fusion sound of SPINALL. The chorus begins with Omah Lay echoing, “I’ll be one call away from you.” Tyla’s lyrics follow by expressing, “You know I’m never too far for you. The world can wait if I’m waiting on you, so don’t leave me waiting long.” Altogether, the trio created an upbeat, enthusiastic song that will be a hit this season and many more.
Still to come, the gorgeous visuals in the “One Call” music video were shot in Portugal, and wonderfully captured the romantic and breezy feel of the song. The video, directed by UAX, a frequent SPINALL collaborator, brilliantly shows the spirit of summer love and the upbeat energy of the music.
In addition to the release of “One Call,” SPINALL is gearing up for an exciting performance at Lollapalooza on Thursday, August 1, and a sold-out show in London at The Jazz Cafe on Friday, 7/19. Both performances are highly anticipated and are set further to establish SPINALL’s presence on the global music stage.
This new single follows his recent release, “Psalm 23,” featuring Teni, adding to his ever-growing catalog. SPINALL continues to push boundaries and deliver exceptional music that resonates with audiences worldwide.
