( ENSPIRE Community Spotlight ) The 2024 BET Awards: A Night Full of Stupendous Performances and Incredible Moments

The 24th annual BET Awards concluded on a high note on June 30th, 2024, marking a thrilling finale of the month. It was a night full of electrifying performances from artists such as Tyla, Latto, Ice Spice, Megan The Stallion, and many other known artists. The evening was electric, with exciting, unforgettable moments for everyone. Many talented artists who performed took center stage and showcased their music and skills. It was a night that will be etched in my memory forever.
The BET Awards are held annually and are meant to celebrate and highlight the outstanding achievements of the black entertainment industry. This event focuses on honoring work in music, film, television, sports, and community service. It recognizes talent and work across a range of various categories, such as Best New Artist, Song of the Year, Best Male and Female R&B/Pop Artist, Album of the Year, and more.

The night was filled with impressive performances by numerous talented artists worth mentioning. Megan Thee Stallion was the one to open the awards off with an incredible performance, in which she performed some of her new singles, including “Hiss,” “Where The Girls At,” and “BOA.” After, Megan followed GlorRilla, who performed her two famous hits, “Yeah Glo” and “TGIF”, before performing her collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, “Wanna Be.”
The viewers had their favorite performances of the night, one of them being from Tyla, who took the stage to perform her hit single “Jump” alongside Gunna and Skillibeng. After being honored with the Best New Artist award earlier in the night. Another fan’s favorite performance came from Ice Spice, who kicked off her performance with a sneak peek of her highly anticipated album, “Phat Butt”, after, she also performed her chart-topping hit “Think You The S–it.” As the night went on, it was clear that both artists had left an indelible mark on the audience.
The artists who marked the night with their performances were GlorRilla, Ice Spice, Latto, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Megan The Stallion, Muni Long, Sexyy Red, Shaboozey, Tanner Adell, Tyla, Victoria Monét, YG Marley, and lastly, Will Smith. Each artist showed off their talent with each performance. They all took the stage to deliver unforgettable performances that left a lasting impression on the night’s audience.
The 24th annual BET Awards became a night to remember for both the audience and the artists who attended. The diverse range of talented artists who took the stage left an indelible mark on the audience, with each performance showcasing their unique style, skill, and talent. ENSPIRE cannot wait for next year’s BET awards and see what it offers!
