Melody Shari, the reality tv personality, business coach, entrepreneur and fashion icon has built brands and a powerful legacy. Her newest business empire, Seventh Avenue Beauty, is a 7-figure beauty and cosmetics brand full of potential. Her brand emanates black excellence – influencing multiple social media platforms with her far-reaching online presence and beautiful fashion looks.

Shari, known for her work as a TV producer and star of OWN’s Love & Marriage: Huntsville, has made major strides in both media and business. After leaving reality TV and navigating a divorce, she shifted her focus to growing her brand, Seventh Avenue Beauty, into a multi-million-dollar company. Inspired by her own childhood skin condition, Shari built a dedicated team to create products that meet the unique skincare needs of busy, goal-driven women of color.

“I’m a full-blown Alabama girl born and raised. I moved to Huntsville in 2004 because I received a full scholarship from Alabama A&M University. I completed my degree in secondary education english language arts, taught middle school english for three and half years, and actually created my first million dollar company at the age of 25. So, I’m super excited about continuing to be on a journey of entrepreneurship. I have now created over 1500 entrepreneurs to date myself with my property preservation class.”

Shari from the small town of Brundidge, Alabama, began her journey with a challenging yet inspiring experience. As a small child, she suffered from a rosacea condition that affected her throughout her childhood. Fortunately, her great grandmother cared for her and shared the skincare tips, tricks, and secrets she needed to overcome it. Eventually, in 2004, she came to Huntsville to start college — ultimately becoming a multimillionaire at age 28.

This experience fostered her love for skincare, prompting her creation of Seventh Avenue Beauty, and even naming a collection after her great grandmother titled the “Lillie Absolu Collection” containing body butter, cream, and soap. All Shari’s products are vegan and paraben-free — making them even more of a good natural skincare choice.

A regimen that doesn’t take too much time is often essential for a working mom. As a self-described “mompreneur” with four children and multiple businesses, Shari understands the value of a skincare routine that’s quick, effective, and easy to maintain each day. Shari emphasized the challenges busy moms and mompreneurs face in balancing their many responsibilities, explaining that her goal is to make self-care easier and more accessible for women who often put themselves last.

“I want to be known and remembered as a strong, unmovable, unshakeable “mompreneur” who showed love and gave love while single handedly rebuilding an empire. Here at Seventh Avenue Beauty, that is the culture; giving love, showing love, and I believe that every time someone uses one of our products, they are experiencing a piece of that.”

Seventh Avenue Beauty’s success is backed by expertise and innovation with promising black talent. The brand’s chemist, Obia Ewah, brings over 19 years of experience and has developed products sold in more than 22 countries, ensuring each formula is crafted with care and precision. On the digital front, Shari has made an impressive impact — breaking the TikTok record for the longest view time on a Shoppable Live event. TikTok also highlighted Seventh Avenue Beauty as one of Alabama’s top Black-owned brands, further showcasing the company’s growing influence and commitment to excellence.

Shari always had a love for fashion dating back to her years as a young girl, and calls herself a fashionista — well earned from her fashionable presence on social media. More recently, Shari celebrated New York Fashion Week at the “Emerge!” Fashion Runway show. Shari and the models rocked the runway with Seventh Avenue Beauty apparel, highlighting beauty and athleisure.

Melody’s journey is a testament to resilience, reinvention, and purpose. By transforming personal challenges into motivation, she redefined her path beyond reality television and built a thriving beauty empire. Through platforms like Instagram and TikTok, Melody connects directly with her audience — sharing tips, selling products, and showcasing glimpses of her authentic life. Her strong social media presence has helped expand Seventh Avenue Beauty’s reach — inspiring a new generation of women to embrace self-care, confidence, independence, and the courage to start again.
