Any advice you would like to share about running your own record label?

I’ve learned that 90% of owning a record label is business, not talent. Though it will help you to be talented. Use every marketing tool available to you. Don’t try to do everything yourself even if you can. Learn how to brand yourself, and lay your foundation by handling all the necessary documents/paperwork needed to be legally established.

What is your opinion about the music industry in this day and age?

It has evolved. With more emerging platforms, artists have the freedom over their success, artistry, and image to promote and market themselves. However, there is less Artist Development. Independent artists don’t understand the business aspect of the industry and don’t realize they have to pay to market themselves. They don’t understand the cost that it takes to break an artist, and everybody is doing what’s trendy instead of staying true to themselves and their brand by being original.

When growing up music was his passion. When his parents separated, music helped fill his voice. His emotional struggles were concealed by all kinds of artists. This sparked the ‘inner musician’. Before his father’s departure, he gifted him Tupac’s ‘All Eyes On Me’ CD.

Other than Tupac’s ‘All Eyes on Me’ what other artists did you get inspiration from?

Jay-Z, Kanye West, Andre 3000 | Big Boi | Outkast, Lil Wayne, Michael Jackson, Kendrick Lamar, Prince, Biggie Smalls, 50 Cent, Eminem, Beyoncé, Lauryn Hill, Aaliyah, Sisqo | Dru Hill, DMX, Busta Rhymes, Twista, Ludacris, Gucci Mane, Alicia Keys, Future, Young Jeezy, Lloyd, B.O.B, Pastor Troy, 2Chainz, Method Man, Jadakiss, KRS-One, Luther Vandross, Jamie Foxx, John Legend.

He received many opportunities to host Atlanta clubs and perform original hits. In college, he studied music theory and music production which helped him develop self-sufficiency. His hobbies include writing, mixing, editing, and designing marketing materials for his music. A new decade has emerged and the vocal range of his songs has matured. He now has a merch line and has recently released a new single called ‘We Are The Gods’, a motivational confidence anthem that has its own merch; talk about an ideal marketing strategy!

How would you compare your music now to when you started? Any significant changes in terms of style and message?

As far as style goes, I use to tongue twist/rap faster before. I’ve slowed down my tempo a little and I’ve been singing a lot more. When it comes to my message, I still speak about things I believe in such as love, growth, self-awareness, transformation, and social issues. However, I do see that I’ve become more meticulous with my message focusing more on positive, uplifting, and motivational topics that bring people together to help them get through their hardship, struggle, and pain.

Where does your inspiration for your music come from?

Life, learning lessons, artists I listen to, nature, reading, personal situations, everyday interactions with other people, and of course my beautiful relationship with Saffire Super.

What makes your music stand out above the rest?

Being empathetic allows me to express myself in a full range of emotions that others can relate to. Also, my music has an underlining message that will help those looking for themselves.
