Original Kings of Comedy, Ced the Entertainer started an interactive “Comedy, Conversations, and Cocktails” event at The Rockhouse Southern Kitchen on Wednesday, September 27th. This event was a part of his 6-city tour. All the guests receive complimentary glasses of Ced’s exclusive wine, “Zetta” inspired by his late mother, Rosetta B. Kyle. During this event, Ced read excerpts from his “Flipping Boxcars” book.
Cedric the Entertainer, is an American stand-up comedian, television host, producer, actor, and author. During his 30-year career, he starred in many movies and television comedies such as “The Original Kings of Comedy,” a highly successful stand-up comedy film directed by Spike Lee. He has also starred in sitcoms like “The Steve Harvey Show” and “The Neighborhood.” He also executive produced and hosted the 73rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. His work has earned him critical acclaim and a loyal fan base, making him one of the most recognizable and respected comedians and entertainers in the industry.
Flipping Boxcars is the first novel from Ced the Entertainer. This novel is an engaging and entertaining crime caper about close-knit Black families and tightly woven communities struggling during the Depression and World War II. During this event, the guests were greeted by KG Smooth, the award-winning host of The Quiet Storm on Majic 102.1. Then the event producer, Blinc Media welcomed guests and highlighted the previous tours. After that, the event moderator, Dessie Brown Jr. Dessie had an engaging conversation with Ced that dug into his new novel, his inspiration, his healthy marriage of 24 years, his entertainment industry experience, and more.
