The Haltere Group is a Black-owned Los Angeles-based real estate company that helps people build generational wealth through residential and commercial real estate. As well as offering real-estate syndication, where those who wouldn’t otherwise be able to invest in more expensive real estate can pool their money with others to do so. They are pioneers in empowering black communities through real estate. Many of the key leaders of the Haltere group are alumni of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Their educational foundation at HBCUs has been incredibly important and inspiring in their journey, as they are for many students. Along with that, it’s incredibly important to this company that they build wealth in black communities. They do this through their real estate and investments, as well as their community-focused initiatives. The Haltere Group has 28 million dollars in assets managed as well as six acquired properties across the U.S. They also choose to share their knowledge with others to inspire them to build wealth as well. They do this through their podcast H.O.W. (Helping Others Win) with Haltere.

Mikael Pyles, the Vice President of the Haltere Group attended Clark Atlanta University. There he felt he wasn’t constantly reminded that African-Americans like himself are underrepresented. His experience at this HBCU was empowering, inspiring, and transformative. However, because of the underfunding of these schools, the housing conditions were poor. Because of his experience of the housing crisis at his HBCU the Haltere Group and Pyles created their HBCU Student Housing Initiative. This initiative develops new housing facilities for the next generation of leaders at HBCUs nationwide. His life experiences led to his work with the Haltere Group to make true change. “As a collective, the Haltere Group is making history by providing access to wealth and education in our community that historically has not been made available to us.”

The Haltere Group is also focusing on their growing podcast, “H.O.W with Haltere Podcast”. Where they help educate their audience on a variety of topics about real estate and wealth building. To help their community. They are excited for the coming year as they are taking this podcast to the next level. Working with Grammy-nominated artists, world-renowned entertainers, and more.

Halteres’ mission is to end the unfair and disproportionate access to true wealth creation, which has historically been reserved for only small groups of people. Haltere doesn’t just help educate people, they also help put their new knowledge into action and truly build wealth. The company itself is proof of its success and knowledge, “From a grassroots, friends-and-family upstart, to a burgeoning industry juggernaut with over $35 Million in assets under management and growing, the Haltere Group is the embodiment of the proverbial American Dream”, said Pyles.

“However, once I became a real estate agent in my mid-20s, I quickly realized that Black and Brown communities did not have the same living conditions, nor the same access to real estate as other ethnic groups. This reality was very unsettling for me, and I decided that I wanted to dedicate my career to helping my community transcend these socioeconomic barriers—facilitating a world of equity and inclusion at the highest levels,” (Pyles).

Dennis Earls, the CEO of the Haltere Group was inspired to help his community after seeing the stark disparity between those who looked like him and those who didn’t. He works to change the narrative and help the black community. Earls stated that they see their tenants as people, not just numbers, and they treat their assets with care. This ultimately enriches the assets, enhances the living conditions for the residents, and makes money for the investors.

“Thus, our niche is the ability to articulate a clear vision of education to show the path for those looking for creative and sound ways to participate in the American Dream. We, as a company, have a proven track record of success and that success is paramount when educating the next generation of trailblazers,” said Earls.

The Haltere Group is working on a variety of exciting projects including their podcast, but also the acquisition of their largest asset, a 132-unit building in New Orleans. They are also working on an HBCU development project near Tuskegee University. Which will transform 5 acres of undeveloped land into more than 200 brand-new student housing units for the University.

The Haltere Group is innovatively approaching real estate and helping their community. They are committed to helping others by sharing their knowledge and giving people the opportunity to build their wealth with ease. By focusing on properties that have a low Net Operating Income because of fixable inefficiencies they can increase the profit and value of the building without just raising the rent. They choose to focus on apartments because they are very reliable and always in high demand. This makes them a safer investment. The Haltere group is committed to helping others and sharing their knowledge to help build generational wealth.
