( ENSPIRE Entertainment ) Triple Threat Natalie Imani Is Ready To Heat Things Up As She Debuts Her New Single ‘Escape’
Sultry singer Natalie Imani is ready to heat things this spring with the release of her latest single ‘Escape.’ The AfroBeats track produced by Dami Adeoye was just the right song to kick off this new era of her career. In the past two years, she released buzzworthy singles ‘The Truth’, ‘Sweet Talk’ and ‘Sweet Dreams’ which have truly shown her range as a vocalist and songwriter, but this new track stands out as the song that will take her right into the spotlight where she truly belongs. Growing up singing in church like her idol Whitney Houston was just the beginning of a long journey in music. At the tender age of 6 she sang her first solo in school and it was then that her parents truly realized that their daughter had a special gift that couldn’t be denied. As Natalie continued to study R&B divas Mary J Blige, Faith Evans, and Monica, it was clear that music would surely be her future.
While attending the infamous LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts, it was there that the soulful songbird learned that she truly had what it takes to make it. With a record deal at 14, the sky was the limit. Although things didn’t work out, that didn’t stop her from working on music with the help of the legendary Kid Capri, who pushed her to study more of the greats as she continued to perfect her craft as an artist. However, while college was Natalie’s focus, she slowly put music aside to pursue other goals. Now, although she successfully landed a career in investment banking, it was only a matter of time before she was pushed to get back into music after the company went under. She had the choice to take another job or step out on faith and pursue a music career, so when the chance of auditioning to sing backup for powerhouse Jazmine Sullivan came along, she ran with it, and the rest has truly been history.
Over the years, Natalie has graced the stage, sharing her talent worldwide with some of the biggest names in show business, from Lauryn Hill, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, John Legend, Fantasia, Jennifer Hudson, and Ne-Yo. But working with Beyoncé changed the game for the singer/songwriter Queen Bey, who was handpicked to hit the road with her on her record-breaking sold-out ‘Renaissance World Tour.’ Touring the world as one of the ‘Pure Honeys’ pushed Natalie into the spotlight even more, and within no time, she knew she had to get back into the studio to work on new music. So, while overseas in London and Germany last summer on tour, she decided to team up with hitmaker Dami Adeoye to create some magic, which is now finally available on all streaming platforms for the world to hear.
