In a time when the financial stresses caused by COVID-19 are making life difficult for many, Rory Douglas is offering not only needed financial advice, but advice on how to meet your full potential. The financial expert and high-performance life coach has taken it upon himself to improve the public’s financial literacy and help ordinary people get the most out of life. An accomplished motivational speaker and author, Douglas has tried to share his lessons with as many people as possible, his goal being to improve the overall quality of life of the American people, particularly those who are struggling.

Douglas himself began at the bottom, and had to work to make it where he is today. Luckily, he had his own mentor in the form of financial guru Joseph Gelman, who helped raise Douglas up from his position as an intern to where he eventually became a partner at Gelman’s company.

“If I did not have the luxury of having mentors who took me “underneath their wing”, I would have never been allowed the opportunity to live my dreams and my purpose,” Douglas recollects. “Never chase money, but always chase opportunity.”

Douglas has since taken it upon himself to help others find opportunities to better their own lives through financial education and literacy. He has given talks on how to gain financial independence and find fulfillment in life and has also written a number of books on the subject. His most recent work is Cracking the Rich Code, a book made in collaboration with other entrepreneurs that gives its readers advice on how to succeed in the current economy. Particularly with the economic crisis caused by the novel coronavirus, Douglas’s work has become more relevant than ever before.

“You know the average American is one to two paychecks away from being homeless,” Douglas says. “One out of three Americans are in debt, yet we live in one of the richest countries in the world and people are still struggling. Financial Literacy is needed like never before. I am showing people how to be certain in uncertain times through financial education.”

In addition to financial matters, Douglas is also a life coach. In this role, he combines practical advice with principles of spiritual psychology. He encourages people to ask questions about themselves, like “Who am I?”, “What do I want?” and “How do I get it?” He uses the answers to help people overcome their limitations and find fulfillment in their lives.

Speaking as both a life coach and a financial advisor, Douglas has emphasized the importance of enjoying the little things during the crisis, the things that get one excited about facing the day. He has also spoken on the importance of planning ahead, especially given the current economic downturn.

“I would urge readers to come up with a plan now during the pandemic because most people don’t plan to fail, they just fail to have a plan,” Douglas explains.

Douglas has done an impressive amount to help improve people’s livelihood, whether it be on a financial level or a more personal, even spiritual level. Given the economic struggles that have been facing citizens even before the pandemic came into the picture, it is encouraging to know that there are those who genuinely wish to help people turn their lives around.
