( ENSPIRE Music ) Anisa Fowler Shines with Powerful New Single ‘You Reign’
Every now and then, we come across a new artist who takes our breath away, and after hearing Anisa sing, you will immediately understand why she is truly one to watch. The rising gospel star released her debut single ‘You Reign’ at the perfect time, while people were indeed searching for healing amid so much uncertainty and loss because of the Covid-19 Pandemic. The Queens, NY native took a step out on faith after leaving her home church Oneness Pentecostal Tabernacle to share her gift of song and worship to a broader audience. Now, most people wouldn’t venture out on their own during these uncertain times, but she had faith that her gift would make room for her wherever it led her to, and in no time, it was clear what her mission truly was.
Anisa teamed up with songwriter/producer Joshua Arnoux to work on the soul-stirring single she recorded once before but wanted to revamp it and make it just right for the world to hear. The two knew they could make magic together with a creative bond spanning over two decades since befriending each other at the prestigious LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and the Performing Arts. Over the years, they even performed together in a group called ‘Gods Plan.’ Still, over time, their journey in music together would undoubtedly change as Joshua focused more behind the scenes as Anisa took center stage. Now, of course, the pandemic made things challenging to promote and perform the record. However, she was still triumphant through all the hurdles that came her way and shot a beautiful performance clip to support the song, which was just the right push it needed to get to the masses.
As the song grew and garnered attention from others in the gospel world, Anisa and Josh knew they had magic on their hands as they set out to promote the song across the country performing at different showcases and conferences, including one of the most significant events of the year during the Stellar Award weekend in Nashville. Being in the right place at the right time can change any artist’s trajectory, and trust me, it truly meant them to be in the presence of some of Gospel music’s finest, who are now her peers. This is a testament to show anyone that all you have to do is combine faith, hard work, and talent, and the stars will align themselves at the right time.
