( ENSPIRE Music ) Song Is a Call to Action For Our World and Each Other

Billy Porter is back and his new single release “Stranger Things” has a voice of its own. The new single arrived via Island UK and Republic Records. GRAMMY, EMMY, and 2 time Tony Award winner is seeking change with his lyrics. This multi-award-winning actor, singer, director, composer, and playwright debuted the song during a set at the Global Citizen Festival in New York City in September.
Porter introduced the song by declaring, “ I came with a message of hope.” The track is strong and soulful with some funk guitar. His vocals are spiritual and proclaiming when he belts out “We can’t lose when we stick together.” On a TikTok, he also mentions the purpose of this song and why it’s such a strong message. He also said, “I’m proud to say that Stranger Things is a call to action. A reminder that none of the extreme trauma that we’ve been experiencing in this moment is new, and that the human spirit is resilient. No one is going to save us from ourselves but ourselves. Stranger things have already happened to all of us. So — it’s time to get to work.”
His 2021 song “Children” has strong motivational lyrics that give people the energy to face the day. It has received over 6 million global streams. “Stranger Things” will receive the same love, tenfold. Porter is a cultural force, this summer he directed his debut, “Anything’s Possible”. He also recently released the paperback version of his best-selling memoir, Unprotected.
