( ENSPIRE Music ) Amarijit Shines In The World Premiere Of His Music Video For ‘Thru A Lens’
Amarijit is taking control of his destiny by releasing his debut EP ‘Set In The Stone’. The Queens native has really shown the world that at any age and any circumstance, a star can genuinely be born on their own terms. In the last month, the teenage rapper has found a way to juggle finishing up his third semester in school while hitting the studio to finish up his project which has finally arrived to much fanfare. While most kids are ultimately hanging out while not in school, he put in the time and effort to focus on his dream which is finally coming true. With the release of the 5 track project, it was clear Amarijit was ready to put his stamp on hip-hop, but his music is so much more than just one genre.
When you sit and listen to the EP, it’s clear that Rap, R&B, Afro Beats & Soca artists all inspired him to create a cohesive project that gives his audience a taste of his versatility as an artist. So when it came time to shoot a video for his first single, he ultimately decided upon the acoustic track ‘Thru A Lens’ which had become a fan favorite on streaming platforms. The track which is very reminiscent of Drake & Future was proof that his sound is just as universal as some of today’s biggest stars. Now although beabadoobee and Clairo inspired him, the song really took his project to the next level, so it only made sense for him to bring this song to life visually after his sister gave him a concept.
The solo performance clip shot on location in Queens was simple yet effective to the eye as the director Deyondre Louis, made the city the perfect backdrop to his song. As Amarijit effortlessly performs the track, it’s clear to see that he’s a natural performer on camera. Although this is just his first video he made sure to give viewers a preview of what’s coming as he closes out the visual with our favorite record ‘She Wan Mi Love’.
Get into the world premiere of his music video for ‘Thru Lens’ as he continues to hit the promo trail to support his debut EP ‘Set In Stone’ which is now available on all music streaming platforms.
