May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, a time dedicated to celebrating and amplifying the voices of AAPI individuals and recognizing their remarkable accomplishments. Within the business and social media industry, one extraordinary woman is making waves. YouMe Lin has defied norms and emerged as a trailblazer. As one of the few Asian females at executive tables, she has harnessed the power of her diversity to achieve tremendous success. Launching a seven-figure agency in her twenties was just the beginning of her remarkable journey.
One of ENSPIRE’s goals is to spread positive stories, and YouMe’s story is exactly that. She is a fierce advocate for breaking down barriers and pushing brands towards sustainability and eco-consciousness. She has worked with brands like Living Proof, Korres, Sundays, and more. YouMe is an inspiration throughout the year, but especially this month for AAPI heritage recognition.
She started her career during college at NYU as the creative director at Screenshop, a company later acquired by Snapchat. During this time, she worked alongside Kim Kardashian as the brand’s advisor, gaining invaluable experience in the industry. Witnessing the lack of minority representation in her industry fueled her passion for change.
In her final year of college, YouMe was offered the coveted position of brand director at Naadam, a sustainable fashion brand. There, she led the social media and influencer marketing team, making a significant impact on the company’s growth and success. In addition, she led several partnerships with eco-friendly brands such as Caudalie and Sundays Studios to further amplify the brand’s sustainability messaging. In fact, in 2020 amidst the pandemic, she founded her own agency, Cloud Studio. It has quickly grown into a double-digit team making seven-figures in just two years.
Cloud Studio is more than just a business for YouMe; it’s a platform to address the issues she wants to fight for. Her agency portfolio includes a diverse range of sustainable brands, such as beauty brands like Korres, slow fashion like Petite Studio, and eco-conscious haircare brands like Living Proof, just to name a few. YouMe is a force to be reckoned with, with her unwavering commitment to breaking down barriers and making a difference in her industry. She has earned respect and admiration from her peers and clients alike.
YouMe is also the creator of Cloud Cafe, which is dedicated to offering minority female business owners free consultations. She started this in 2021 and has since devoted over 100+ hours to helping small businesses. YouMe has consistently demonstrated that she is leveraging her creativity, intelligence, and experience to uplift others and advocate for change. It is amazing and rare to find someone who uses their business acumen for more than just profit. YouMe Lin is an exceptional role model ENSPIRE is honored to highlight. Follow her on social media to learn more about her and stay up-to-date with her future endeavors.
