On Martin Luther King Jr Day (MLK Day) 2024, Cam Kirk, renowned photographer and Founder of Cam Kirk Studios celebrated the 5th annual Yesterday’s Tomorrow conference. Yesterday’s Tomorrow gathered over 200 local youth change-makers for a day of one-on-one career-building workshops, keynotes, and conversations. Moreover, the conference involved industry leaders and prominent Atlanta figures from the art, business, fashion, music, and community engagement worlds.

Yesterday’s Tomorrow focused on helping Black young adults shape the landscape of their surroundings by initiating the positive change they would like to see. As part of his ongoing mission of giving back to the local community, Cam Kirk donated $10,000 to Morehouse College’s Content Creators Club to assist student creatives at one of the nation’s top HBCUs. Further, Cam donated $2,500 to DC Young Fly’s Da Community Crew initiative, which supports the Atlanta community with resources such as food drives. The Chemistry Advertising Agency supported Yesterday’s Tomorrow, and The Athlete’s Foot, Atlanta United FC, and the Atlanta Braves Foundation sponsored the conference.

Honoring MLK’s legacy, Yesterday’s Tomorrow has a catchphrase that rings true to this day, over forty years after MLK Day became a national holiday: “The dream continues…” With the drive and passion the Atlanta community has for uplifting the next generation of Black leaders, the dream is indeed.
