In celebration of the goodest boys and girls, Atlanta-based frozen dog treats company, Frost Bytz, hosted its Paws & Pose event on November 6th, 2023. Frost Bytz is an Atlanta-based, Black-owned dog treats company that specializes in frozen dog treats. The event was hosted by Atlanta radio personality Reec from Majic 107.5. The event was for dogs and owners to experience a doggy runway show and special holiday photo opportunities.

Paws & Pose was creatively directed by Marcus Blassingame so attendees could experience a doggy fashion show with garments by Ricardo Auguste, owner of Beaut Outerwear. A few of the dogs that were up for adoption also strutted down the runway in Beaut Outerwear, allowing potential new dog owners to see what they got. Additionally, attendees were able to take part in unique photo opportunities with four handmade custom holiday sets, where pet owners posed with their dogs.

In recent times, because of the pandemic, a lot of animal shelters and adoption centers need support for an influx of pets being surrendered. Would you say that more events like these would increase the chances of these animals getting adopted?

Yes! The exact purpose of our event was to bridge the gap between available pups and their forever homes. With our platform and community, our events will continue to serve the purpose of aiding shelters in placing pups with their future homes.

What was it about the three organizations that made the Paws & Pose event support them?

The event was curated around raising money for the Georgia Homeless Pets Animal Rescue Group. As a 501(c)(3) organization, their main mission is to save, care for, and place animals into loving homes. The Paws & Pose event also made generous donations to the Lifeline Animal Project and the Happy Hearts Pet Care Atlanta.

But, the Paws & Pose served many purposes. Mainly, it was raising awareness for pet adoption and helping local shelters showcase available pups to find their forever homes. By collaborating with local volunteers, we were able to present the pups in their best light in hopes of decreasing their transitional time between the shelter and their final family.

What were some highlights of the event i.e. favorite dogs or events?

Three current non-dog families left the event with information to become official dog sponsors for two of the organizations present. “This was the perfect event to kick off the holiday season for pet owners. We were able to not only provide them with a unique experience for their dogs, but we also were able to give back to organizations that make an impact in the pet community,” said Bakir Floyd, co-founder of Frost Bytz.

Will there be any more events like Paws & Pose?

Floyd commented that the success of this event means that the company will attempt to host more unique events with the same mission, supporting organizations that help dogs in need. The response to Paws & Pose was outstanding. Therefore, there will be a Paws & Pose II as well as other events to bring the pup community together.

“Frost Bytz appreciates everyone who attended our event,” said Floyd, “We’re happy that we were able to provide so much joy and make an impact with organizations like the Georgia Homeless Pets Animal Rescue Group, Lifeline Animal Project, and Happy Hearts Pet Care Atlanta.”

What are some of the frozen dog treats Frost Bytz is best known for?

We are known for our signature Frost Bytz treat the frozen Chick Bytz. There are a few things that make the treat so favorable amongst our pet community: the natural savory chicken flavor, the frozen texture, and the delivery experience. With every delivery, pups receive their treats in the official Frost Bytz Pupmobile. Pups are highly sensitized, and they can hear the Pupmobile’s distinct ice cream truck sound from miles away! They are always anxiously awaiting the moment we pull up with their favorite treats.

At the end of it all, the Paws & Pose event allowed for both pet and pet owners to shine like superstars. It not only helped open the doors for more adoption opportunities, but Frosty Bytz also financially supported organizations for animals in need.
