( ENSPIRE Music ) Jekalyn Carr’s Single “You Carried Me” Is Impacting Radio Today

Jekalyn Carr is acknowledged for being a writer and producer for the song “Live Again,” performed by Kelontae Gavin. This is her eighth #1 single, which has earned its status on the Billboard National Gospel Airplay Chart and Mediabase Gospel Airplay Chart. From Kelontae Gavin’s current album “Testify,” the song “Live Again” originated. Through her artistry and guidance, it has now become the most significant hit.
Carr is a Grammy-nominated and Stellar Award Winner who has spent half a decade at the top of the charts as a top-selling independent recording artist. With ten Billboard No.1’s, including eight No.1 radio singles, two No.1 albums, two No.1 digital singles, and seven Top 10 songs, her 1.5 million social media followers go to her for a cheerful voice during rough times. She has earned four Grammy Award nominations, two Billboard Music Award nominations, and millions of lifetime global streams.
She was recently inducted into the Women’s Songwriters Hall of Fame and was named one of EBONY Magazine’s ‘Power 100’ in 2014 as one of the Most Influential People in the World. In addition, Carr ranked No. 23 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Artist of the 2010s according to the All Decade-end Charts. In 2023, her latest album, “Jekalyn,” was released and was preceded by the Billboard Gospel National Airplay #1 single, “I Believe God,” and is available now wherever music is sold and streamed.
The album “Jekalyn” is Carr’s first full release in four years and features collaborations with Tauren Wells, Kierra Sheard, Papa San, Tim Bowman Jr., Kirk Franklin, Pastor Mike Jr., Mike Teezy, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Blanca, and Elevation Rhythm. Carr’s brand new single, “You Carried Me,” is impacting radio today. Her other accomplishments include recently receiving recognition from the city of South Fulton on behalf of Mayor Khalid Kamau, who named February 27th “Jekalyn Carr Appreciation Day.”
