Swank PR and Westside Cultural Alliance hosted their second annual WEMADE Honors Brunch at The Garfield Park Conservatory. The theme was Evolve, and the brunch celebrated the career accomplishments of women who have excelled in their fields. Over 100 guests were in attendance, accompanied by the serene ambiance of flowers in bloom and pastel colors, which brought an empowering evolutionary feel. Special song performances included Nina Taylor and China Shadae, whose vocals brought uplifting energy to the room.
WEMADE honored women in diverse industries, including Essence Magazine (Jasmine Browley), Amazon (Sarah Glavin), SocialWorks (Essence Smith), the Chicago Tribune (Darcel Rockett), and more. A special honor was awarded to Monica Brown, the Executive Director of “The Camp,” and Bridgette Flaggs, the Founder and owner of Soule’ Chicago. The “MADE Maven” Award celebrates the journeys in entrepreneurship, impact, and longevity in their respective careers. This honor was given to The event also comprised sponsored products from Black Brands EVN Skincare, Pear Nova, Mecca Candles Co., Fashionably Fly, Indigo In Love Cosmetics, and SeaMoForYourSeaMoss and drinks from TOST Beverage.
In the entrepreneurial industry, women have flourished and evolved for the better.
