During the week of celebrations for Super Bowl LVIII, The 5th Annual Sports Power Brunch: Celebrating the Most Powerful Women in Sports took place in Las Vegas to celebrate & honor females in sports. Sandra Douglass Morgan, President of the Las Vegas Raiders, was honored with the Leadership Award presented by Moët Hennessy USA. Besides this award, Sandra was named as an inaugural member of Moët Hennessy’s IDE (Inclusion Diversity & Equity) Advisory Council. Additional honorees in attendance included Nicole Lynn, Agent & President of Football, KLUTCH Sports Group; Stacey Allaster, Chief Executive, Professional Tennis, USTA & US Open Tournament Director; and Nikki Fargas, President, Las Vegas Aces.
Attendees experienced an exciting day celebrating amazing women in the sports industry while emphasizing how major brands are increasingly endorsing and championing sports events and programming led by women. Event highlights include Hennessy providing signature cocktails like the Henny-Rita, Hennessy Berry Mojito, and Hennessy Sidecar featuring a champagne toast in tribute to honorees, ESPN Films’ Hospitality Lounge showcasing upcoming programming, and the Las Vegas Raiders hosting the premiere networking mixer. Partial proceeds of the brunch will benefit the Sterling Legacy Fund and Sterling Courts basketball court renovation project at the Downtown Las Vegas Boys and Girls Club sponsored by Prime Video.
LaTonya Story’s creation, fueled by her years of experience and unwavering dedication, stands as a testament to the fact that women deserve recognition and acknowledgment in an industry traditionally dominated by men. As we reflect on the recent 5th Annual Sports Power Brunch, where extraordinary women like Sandra Douglass Morgan, Nicole Lynn, Stacey Allaster, and Nikki Fargas were honored, we see the significance of platforms like ours in amplifying these stories.
