Grammy-nominated Brooklyn native ETCETERA won Best Pop Rap Performance for his hit single “Dance For You” at the World Entertainment Awards. The ceremony, held during Grammy weekend at the Writers Guild of America Theater in Beverly Hills on January 31st, marked a significant milestone for the independent artist. “It is truly a humbling experience to be nominated and recognized by such respected figures in the industry. I’m incredibly grateful”, ETCETERA said during his acceptance speech. The song “Dance For You” features Kaya Jones of the Pussycat Dolls and is one of the standout tracks from ETCETERA’s critically acclaimed chart-dominating 3rd album SAGITTARIUS.
The album, independently released through his own record label IDOL Music Group Inc. with distribution by United Masters, has garnered high admiration worldwide for its musical diversity and an impressive roster of collaborations. SAGITTARIUS showcases ETCETERA’s ability to cultivate meaningful artistic partnerships across genres. Beyond Kaya, the album features collaborations with soulful vocalist Trisha Covington on “BY YOUR SIDE,” hip-hop legend Grapevine of Trends of Culture on “CHURCHES AND ANGELS,” Argentinian sensation Serena on the emotionally charged “FUEGO,” fellow Brooklyn native Billionz on “WAY UP,” rising star Adam Shenk on the club anthem “SEXIOUS,” and My Friend Thayne from Orlando-based alternative group Dear Tatiana on the inspirational “THE BEST WORST DAY.”

The World Entertainment Awards recognition underscores ETCETERA’s growing influence as an independent force in the music industry, successfully competing alongside significant label artists while maintaining creative control through his record label. Following this achievement, ETCETERA is preparing for the second leg of his sold-out national tour scheduled for mid-March 2025. His recently launched innovative Peanut Butter and Chocolate Rum, SAGITTARIUS will co-sponsored the tour. ETCETERA and his team are casting for a new sitcom premiering on TUBI/FOX this fall, further cementing his transition from music artist to multi-faceted entertainment entrepreneur. His success represents the evolving landscape of his entertainment empire, where independent artists can leverage digital distribution, collaboration, and diversification to build careers outside traditional systems.
