In the television category, honorees include Sarah Michelle Gellar, Bradley Whitford, and Noah Wyle. Wyle, surprised by the announcement while filming, said in a video shared by Warner Bros., “I used to walk home every day down Hollywood Boulevard—I would put my foot over the ‘Beery’—and think, ‘oh maybe one day.’ And I guess that day has come.” Beloved broadcast duo Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos will receive a shared star for their long-running work on Good Morning America, a rare joint recognition on the Walk.

The music category features an impressive group of honorees who span generations and genres. Miley Cyrus leads the list, with her evolution from Disney star to Grammy-winning artist captivating fans around the world. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Cyrus wrote, “To now be cemented on this legendary boulevard, surrounded by the icons who inspired me, feels like a dream.” Joining her are powerhouse vocalist and Broadway talent Josh Groban; Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, who revolutionized hip-hop with melodic storytelling; soft-rock icons Air Supply; Grammy-winning norteño group Intocable; five-time Grammy winner Angélique Kidjo, who continues to elevate African music on the global stage; and genre-blending country star Lyle Lovett.

The legendary Clark Sisters, often credited with pioneering contemporary gospel music, will also receive a star. Their unique harmonies and spiritual storytelling have inspired generations of gospel artists and solidified their place as one of the most influential gospel groups of all time. Their induction marks a long-overdue recognition of their cultural and musical legacy.

Lea Salonga, best known for her acclaimed role in Miss Saigon and as the singing voice of two Disney princesses, was selected in the live performance category. Comedy favorite Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias will also be honored, celebrated for his sold-out tours and hit Netflix specials. In sports entertainment, former NBA champion and cultural icon Shaquille O’Neal will receive a star, continuing to expand his legacy both on and off the court.

Earning a star on the Walk of Fame is more than just a symbol of fame—it’s a formal commitment. Each nominee must agree to attend the unveiling and pay a sponsorship fee of $85,000, which covers the creation, installation, and maintenance of the star. Installations typically occur within two years of the announcement, with exact dates shared approximately ten days in advance of the ceremony.

This year’s honorees reflect Hollywood’s expanding identity—one that increasingly celebrates international influence and cultural diversity. From Deepika Padukone’s Bollywood achievements to Angélique Kidjo’s African artistry, the Class of 2026 honors talent from across the globe. With nearly 2,800 stars already lining the iconic stretch of Hollywood Boulevard, each new addition brings fresh stories and legacies to a sidewalk walked by millions of fans every year.
