Share your journey into healthcare and the creation of DiscoverU Health, how it impacted businesses, and the strategies that led to sustainable growth.
My healthcare journey began long before DiscoverU Health. I grew up watching my mother, a nurse, care for seniors and families with a level of compassion that shaped my understanding of what true care looks like. Within my own family, I also saw the impact of preventable health conditions such as obesity, high blood pressure, rheumatoid arthritis, COPD, diabetes, and HIV and AIDS. I lost several dear family members as a result. Those losses shaped my dedication to advocacy, prevention, and improving how people experience healthcare.
Nearly six in ten adults in the United States live with at least one chronic condition. Many of these conditions can be prevented or better managed with early support, education, and accessible care. That reality inspired me to build DiscoverU Health — a model rooted in humanity, prevention, and personalized care.
I bring a background in HR, healthcare management, and entrepreneurship, which gives me a unique understanding of workplace needs, employee well-being, and how businesses operate. In many communities, businesses are the primary gateway to healthcare, yet many small and mid-sized employers feel priced out of offering meaningful benefits. Others simply want to provide better support and greater value to their teams. DiscoverU Health exists to meet both needs.

We reshape the patient experience by making care personal, accessible, and centered on what matters most to each individual. Members can choose virtual visits, home-based wellness checks, or in-person support. Every care plan is tailored to the individual because no two people have the same lifestyle, goals, or challenges.
We focus on understanding each person’s “why” and creating a health plan that feels realistic, meaningful, and easy to integrate into daily life. People feel safe, seen, and supported.
Technology enhances that experience by creating ease and continuity. We use virtual visits, remote health monitoring, secure messaging, real-time access to labs and imaging, and a digital member platform for streamlined communication and follow-up. Our technology allows for real-time support, while our team ensures the experience feels warm and human.
How do you determine the strategies that work best for businesses and individuals through compassion and innovation?
People want autonomy, agency, and a healthcare experience they can trust. Our approach begins with listening — truly understanding what a business or individual is trying to solve. For individuals, this may be convenience, accessibility, or overcoming long-standing barriers. For businesses, it may be retention challenges, rising costs, burnout, or gaps in their current healthcare offerings.
Through compassion, we uncover what matters most and what stands in the way. Through innovation, we build forward-thinking solutions that are both practical and strategic.
For individuals, this may mean personalized care plans, preventive coaching, or chronic condition support. For businesses, it may include workforce planning, employee wellness programs, or concierge-based healthcare designed to enhance culture and productivity. Businesses and individuals may have different needs, but both want care that is consistent, reliable, and truly supportive.

Beyond our business healthcare partnerships, we offer concierge primary care, women’s health, mental health therapy and psychiatry, chronic care management, home-based senior care, caregiver support, preventive health programs, and lifestyle and nutrition coaching.
We also offer integrative and innovative health pathways, including food-as-medicine guidance, plant-based and botanical medicine options, precision medicine through genomics, hormone evaluations, and advanced laboratory testing. Personalized health management is essential because every person has a unique story, lifestyle, and set of challenges. When care is tailored to an individual’s real needs, it becomes something they can engage with consistently. Personalized care helps people find stability, clarity, and balance, improving their overall well-being and how they show up in their everyday lives.
For businesses, healthcare innovation must be treated as a core investment and built directly into their business strategy. The business climate is changing rapidly, and organizations cannot ignore wellness. Healthcare has been central in recent government debates, the Affordable Care Act continues to evolve, and many carriers are projecting significant premium increases in the coming years. We are also in a post-COVID era where employee expectations, workplace culture, and health risks look very different from what they did before. Healthcare is no longer optional — it is a requirement.
Employers remain the primary gateway to healthcare for most people. Suppose businesses are not actively planning for the true cost of health and do not intentionally integrate it into their annual budgets and long-term goals. In that case, they are not positioning themselves for success. Failing to invest will lead to gaps that affect culture, retention, productivity, and profitability.
